The analysis of the regional conflicts at the end of the XX century and the fight against terrorism during the last several years has come to indicate, that military action gradually becomes a matter of technology. The tasks of the armies and the specialized military units have undergone dramatic change and we can now feel the necessity of the formation of small, highly mobile groups of soldiers, who must be able to operate at any time and under any climatic conditions and on any terrains.

Understanding the importance and the need of such high-tech systems, OPTIX Co. has embarked on the development of a wide range of night vision observation devices, which are fully competitive to the best and most well known brands.

OPTIX products comply with all the requirements of this type of military equipment. They have been constructed in conformity with the MIL standards and the demands of the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Bulgaria for reliability and functionality.

Night Vision Monoculars Diana M40 and Diana M50
The unique NV Monoculars provide exceptional quality image resolution and high performance in extreme conditions. The ergonomic design allows easy and quick eye switch and dramatically increases the time for optimal usage. Lightweight and versatile, the device can be head-mounted, handheld or used as a night vision sight in conjunction with “red dot” collimator.

Single Tube Night Vision Goggles Diana
Extremely reliable, combat proven, lightweight and small-sized, NV Goggles “Diana” have perfect optical design, ensuring a bright, clear and distortion-free image with field of view more than 45°. The goggles are equipped with an IR illuminator for additional light in complete darkness, when performing tasks such as map reading, hardware adjustments, etc.

Twin Tube Night Vision Goggles Diana TT
Designed for Special Forces operations, “Diana TT” is a compact, high performance device that offers a true stereoscopic night vision image with extremely good depth perception. The innovative wide exit pupils eliminate the need of interpupillary adjustment and allows the operator to use the goggles in critical conditions, while driving a vehicle, taking an assault or in surveillance missions.

Aviator Night Vision Goggles Diana A
The “Diana A” is a high performance passive image intensifying system designed specifically for use by helicopter pilots during night flight missions. The goggles allow the aviator to navigate at nap of the earth, flying off, landing and other operations that are practically impossible or extremely dangerous at night conditions without the use of illuminating resources.

Night vision binoculars “DIANA” are designed for terrestrial observation and reconnaissance in natural night starlight, moonlight illumination or total darkness. They have extremely high resolution and field of view, detecting low contrast objects at a distance up to 1800 m. The devices are perfectly suited for situations where depth perception is a critical factor and can be configured with a variety of image intensifier tubes ranging from Generation II+ to advanced Generation III.

Both the goggles and the monocular for night visions can be mounted to various other gears and used "hands free". The interface mechanism allows the stable, easy and fast fixing to any uniform mask or helmet of the Kevlar type. The construction has incorporated a "Flip up" mechanism for the fast shift of the devices from an operational to stand-by mode and the automatic switch-off eliminates the de-masking effect of the green light from the eyepiece. Under conditions of extreme darkness or in pitch-dark, as well as at close ranges and an additional infra-red illuminator has also been incorporated (LED at 880 nm).

Also, additional affocal magnifiers have been developed at magnification rates of 3X, 4X and 5X, which give the opportunity for changing the magnification to 3, 4 and 5 times. This feature easily turns the goggles into night-vision binoculars.

All products from the series "DIANA" for individual night vision have been accepted by the Bulgarian Army and have a NATO - code.

All devices have an in-built protection against intensive light sources, which protect the soldier and the electronic-optical transformer from burns and damages.

All night-vision devices are powered by a battery of the AA type (R6)- lithium 3,6 V, alkaline 1,5V and a rechargeable 1,2V battery.
