Thermovision sight OTS-50

OTS

The thermovision sight "OTS-50" provides surveillance or accurate targeting in total darkness, fog and dust without need of additional IR illuminators (passive mode).
The thermovision sight design enables it to be used as hand-held camera. FPA detector is Uncooled Amorphous Silicon Microbolometer working in spectral range 7-14 microns. With its unique construction the thermovision sight is compact, ergonomic and reliable. The sight is made from high strength aluminium alloy, coated with non – reflective black matte. It ensures its robustness and work in extremely severe environmental conditions. The operation is through menu based push-button GUI. There is a possibility of ballistic reticle change, according to the currently used weapon system (M16, AK-47 and SVD). The sight can be connected to an external display through a standard video out to provide remote observation. OTS-50 is supplied with a Picatini Rail Adaptor. Mobile Thermovision Reconnaissance Surveillance System “TERMA"

The mobile system "TERMA" is developed for perimeter surveillance, target detection and transmission of collected data to command-control centers via communication means. The vehicle is equipped with suite of sensor and detection technologies and can operate in day/night conditions. The mobile surveillance system enables variable surveillance sequences which are unpredictable for illegal border crossers and invaders. The system performs the following major tasks:

  • Hidden day and night surveillance for detection of intruders over border area, crimes and other offensive activities;
  • Measurement of distances up to 20 km to the target;
  • Documentation of the observed data by video recording;
  • Coordination of capture operations;

  • DIANA-M

    The monocular "DIANA-M" is the latest and last project, developed by OPTIX in the field of night vision.
    It was demonstrated for the first time at the sixth international exhibition for military defense equipment "HEMUS".
    "DIANA-M" offers the opportunity for simultaneous observation of the surrounding areas within the spectrum of the nighttime sensitivity of the naked human eye, reproduced by the night-vision device. This guarantees that the soldier cannot be light-blinded during the operation. Depending on the degree of light falling on the surrounding area, the observation can be done through the device or with a naked eye, which is possible without any additional movements.
    The use of the monocular is extremely efficient for missions, held during the night and in particular in urban areas, when there are numerous sources of light coming from various directions and rapid, unexpected changes from darkness to light and vice versa, restricted space for movement and restricted activation time.
    The device operates at no magnification rate, or at a rate of "0". The construction has incorporated and, to a considerable degree, improved all the basic technical parameters of the products from the previous DIANA product series: small weight and size; high resolution and light amplification; automatic protection of the electronic-optical transformer from very powerful light sources and an additional infra-red illuminator for operation in pitch black surroundings; yellow light indicator within the eye view for the battery level and a red light indication for the active operation mode; power feed, consisting of 1 battery, type AA, lithium, alkaline or rechargeable. The interface mechanism of the "Flip up" type ensures the possibility to use the device while wearing a mask or a helmet, where the choice of the eye, with which the observation is to be performed, is also easily available. The monocular may be mounted on firearms, immediately in front of a collimator sight.

    A new technology for crystal coatings

    OPTIX has successfully developed a system for applying anti-reflection coatings on crystals-Ge, ZnS, ZnSe and others for the achievement of which there were bought new "Leybold" vacuum machines. The technology consists of electron emission and thermal evaporation of the materials in question, controlled by the spectral photometers "Hitachi" and "PerkinElmer".
